I live and teach in Ukiah, CA. I don't teach as often as I'd like due to the discrimination against amputees
and cancer survivors built into the teacher hiring system.
I grew up on a ranch near Napa, CA and have lived my entire life in N. CA. (or Norcal as the youth today call it).
I lost my leg below the knee to chondrosarcoma when I was 38.
I am an artist and musican (guitar) who has had a radio program on Sunday mornings since Aug. of 2007.
The name of my show is "The Eclectic Semantic Ear".
Tune me in or go to our website and listen to a show in the archives.
105.1 FM KMEC in Ukiah
or
www.kmecradio.org on the web. My DJ name is Paris Clueless and I play a four hour music program consisting of Glitter Rock, Blues, and Jazz.
I advocate for communication between amputees because it is plain foolish to blindly follow the course steered by the
O & P industry. Profit, after all, is their motive.
Both Washington Amp L, a list server for amputees, and The American Coalition of Amputees support our cause and
can help us make choices.
